, who is trying to prevent the war. It is somewhat inspired from real life events that involve the sinking of submarine titled K-129.
Captain Harris, who returns home excited about his leave, he is stunned to know that they have to go on another mission right after this one in Russia. Ed Harris does not disappoint the audience and gives a phenomenal performance.
The movie seems more interesting with the fact that it has been inspired from real-life events. It is a bit predictable, but that does not mean it is not enjoyable. Most of the things used in the movie are authentic like the submarine is real.
Phantom is a drama that takes you inside the world of military life in compact quarters of a submarine. It was a good decision not to use fake Russian accents, so it is a clear depiction. It has been very well acted, and the dialogues are well written.
It had an abrupt and melodramatic ending. Also, it seems slow paced at times. The major problem with the movie is that it is harder to identify these people as Soviet soldiers. But the good thing is that it makes you wonder what problems those people faced. Overall, not a great movie but it is not bad either, one can afford to watch it once.
