Plot
On Christmas Eve, Layla gets stranded at the airport, where she meets James. When it’s time to leave, James tells Layla that if she is single the next year, he’ll join her at the Pentatonix concert, knowing that she is already committed. Layla forgets all about this soon and enjoys her life. The Christmas season is fast approaching, and now Layla is shocked to know that her boyfriend cheated on her, having an affair with another woman. Layla decides to meet James at the concert, but the tickets are sold out. Her friend Roxie helps her by showing her way to a company that’ll help people with what they need. As their services are made at the nick of time, Layla approaches them for a ticket to Pentatonix. Teddy is appointed to help Layla, who just looks the opposite of James. Will he help Layla get a ticket and meet James? What efforts does he make to get the ticket? The rest of the film follows these.
Star Performance
Christina Milian has given a decent performance as Layla. Her expressions are good, especially in the scenes when she finds her boyfriend cheated on her, when she rushes to get a ticket for the concert, and in the climax, when she runs to meet her life partner. Kofi Siriboe is good in his role as James. Devale Ellis did justice to his role, Teddy.
Analysis
The story may appeal very simple. Yet, the emotions play a huge role. There are many loopholes here and there in the screenplay and execution. Yet, with the performances, the leads cover up all those. The dialogues are good and the combination scenes between Christina and Devale is finely made. The music and the visuals are good. The editing is adequate.

Verdict
Meet Me Next Christmas is a decent entertainer with enough romantic elements for the youth. The climax is overwhelming! It is watchable once, for sure!
