Mads Mikkelsen is an eminent Danish actor. He was born as Mads Dittmann Mikkelsen on November 22, 1965 at Østerbro, Copenhagen in Denmark to Bente Christiansen and Henning Mikkelsen. Mads grew up in Nørrebro. During his childhood, he was trained to become a gymnast and he aims to pursue athletics. However, he studied in Gotherburg where he become articulate in speaking Swedish language. While directing this film, he spent a lot of time in Amazon rainforests with the Shamans in order to understand the therapeutic properties of Ayahuasca.
