Plot

Analysis
Allegiant: The Divergent Series is the third release in the dystopian franchise Divergent. It is a fantastic addition to the series that manages to hold it’s own despite critics and box office records. Although the movie veers from the original storyline quite a bit, it manages to retain some of the actual substance that is necessary for the film to work as a book adaptation. The history behind the dystopian society, as well as the philosophical and political climate of said society is brilliantly explored in the the movie. It even manages to incorporate romance elements pretty well into the movie’s setting. The cast performances were beyond phenomenal, with Theo-James and Shailene Woodley doing absolute justice to their roles. Both the cinematography and the action was top-notch and better said, cinematic brilliance. The character development is beautifully executed and the chemistry between all the actors is riveting. Aside from storyline flaws and slow pacing, Allegiant makes a brilliant addition to the Divergent series.

A fantastic instalment for the Divergent franchise, Allegiant is all you need from a dystopian action- adventure movie. With stellar action elements, a solid plot and intense character development, this movie will not fail to entertain you. Despite some minor flaws with the pacing and the green screen issues, Allegiant is a must-watch for fans of the series or otherwise.
