A Dog’s Journey is directed by Gail Mancuso. Betty Gilpin, Dennis Quaid, Kathryn Prescott, Henry Lau and Josh Gad are in the cast. The film is the sequel to A Dog’s Purpose, a novel penned by W Bruce Cameron.

Bailey, the pet of Ethan and his family, breathes his last. While putting him to rest, the owner of the dog strongly hopes that he will reincarnate and join them again. Ethan wants his granddaughter CJ to be cared by Bailey. As his wish, Bailey reincarnates as Max and cares CJ. Even in his next birth as Molly and a few more reincarnation, he cares about the family well.

Star Performance

All the stars had performed well, especially Dennis Quaid, Henry Lau and Kathryn Prescott.

The film is about the relationship between the owner and the dog. Although it reincarnates, he reaches them rightly and lives with them. The emotional elements are neatly handled and the pet lovers might get Goosebumps while watching the film. It is touching the hearts when they show the happenings from the dog’s point of view. But, it is the minus point too. Yes, as a lot of scenes are filmed in a similar way, it might slightly bore the viewers.

What’s There?

  • The story is unique and good
  • Performances of the stars are excellent
  • Suitable for pet lovers

What’s Not There?

  • Repetitive scenes irk the audience

Although the film has some minuses, it has a lot of exciting elements. The film suits the kids and pet lovers. If you are a pet lover, you will become emotional while watching the film!
