Plot:
This movie starts with two young girls, Kate and Lisa who plan to go on a vacation to Mexico as a rebound trip after a ruinous break-up. The two plan on exploring new things and decide to go cage diving to watch the Great White Sharks. Once they went deep into the ocean in a cage, they had a lifetime experience of diving along with the Great Sharks. It seemed like fun at the onset but it started turning out to be a traumatizing experience for them as they get stuck and start to panic.
During this time, their cage breaks away from the boat and the cage goes to the bottom of the ocean floor and they try to find anything and everything possible they could to save themselves. They have very little time as their oxygen supply is only left for one hour to help them survive and just not the oxygen they have to protect themselves from the huge sharks circling them creating terror. Having no other choice, they find their way to go to the surface which is 47 meters away from where they are. Will they survive from the deep waters and the gigantic sharks? Star Performance:
Claire Holt and Mandy Moore were the two main victims of the story and had thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the film. Both have put in their best of efforts to make this survival film a success. It is just not any ordinary shark survival film but has various elements that have been portrayed brilliantly by both the actors.
What’s there?
1. Great visual effects.
2. The film became a little too predictable when the sisters reach to the surface.
What’s not there?
1. A single location film.
2. Duration of the movie was very short and had a disappointing end.
Verdict:
47 Meters Down is a good movie but has a few gory scenes. The two sisters have been a fighter throughout the film.
