In the speech he made, he has said that the government will take steps to stop pirating of movies. Also, he has added that directors should undergo a self-censorship to avoid lewdness and obscenity in movies.
Venkaiah Naidu spoke during a felicitation held by South Indian cinema. He has said that Indian movies should be a portrayal of the culture. Also, the movies should depict the family values, said the minister. The Minister spoke in response to a question raised by Kalaipuli S Thanu and said that every step would be taken to curb piracy of movies.
It is to be noted that Kalaipuli S Thanu is the producer for Rajini Starrer Kabali. Also, the producer has approached the court to ban sites which relay pirated movies online.
