Upendra Signs Another Telugu Flick

Upendra is all set to join another Tollywood movie!

According to the recent reports, the actor has agreed to work in a movie directed by Jayashankar. The actor is already working on Andhra King Taluka, which stars Ram Pothineni in the lead role.

Upendra is well known for his work in Sandalwood, though he is equally famous in Kollywood, as well as Tollywood. The director cum actor had made his Tollywood debut with Kanyadanam in 1998.

Upendra late worked in movies like Toss, Salute, S/O Sathyamurthy etc. His last appearance in a Telugu movie was the sports drama Ghani, which starred Varun Tej in the lead role. Unfortunately, the movie turned out to be a box office dud, in stark comparison to the movie S/O Sathyamurthy, which starred Allu Arjun in the lead role.

Upendra will be seen in the upcoming Tamil action drama Coolie. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, this movie stars a huge ensemble cast of Rajinikanth, Sathyaraj, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Shruthi Haasan, Soubin Shahir etc. in a prominent roles. The movie also stars Bollywood actor Aamir Khan in a cameo role, and will clash officially with War 2 on August 14, a day before the Indian Independence Day.
