Following the outbreak of coronavirus, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has stopped the Darshan of Venkatachalapathy. This is the first time in the 100 years the Tirupati Devasthanam board stops the public darshan. Already, the Tirupati Devasthanam had canceled the rituals, including Sahasra Kalasabhishekam, Visesha Puja and Vasanthotsavam, due to the coronavirus.
Previously the Devasthanam announced to refund the advance special entry tickets if the devotees cancel or postpone their darshan. Earlier, the temple allowed more than 5500 devotees per hour. After the coronavirus outbreak, they reduced it to 4500. Now, they have completely stopped. When the protocols were altered, people found it odd. Let’s wait and watch for more information.
