Nani restores the smiles on the faces of Telugu exhibitors….
According to the recent reports, ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ is all set to enter the 100 crore club soon, with the worldwide collections crossing 100 crores.
The vigilante action drama, directed by Vivek Aathreya, and produced by DVV Danayya [who also produced the iconic ‘RRR’], starred Nani in the role of Surya aka ‘Chinnu’, a vigilante who fights against injustice on Saturdays, and locks horns with a corrupt cop, R Dayanand aka Daya, who loves to torment people for petty reasons. in the lead role, while SJ Suryah plays the role of the lead antagonist.
For the past few months, Tollywood was going through a rough patch at the box office. With the lone of exception of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, Telugu cinema hadn’t seen a commercial success since early April. However, with ‘Committee Kurrollu’ and ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ succeeding at the box office, Tollywood is now looking forward to the festive releases, which will begin with ‘Devara’, which will release on 27 September, and star NTR Jr. in the lead role.
Meanwhile, Nani is already preparing for the much awaited ‘HIT 3’, whose first look was launched recently. Nani plays the role of SP Arjun Sarkar, a ruthless cop who lets his gun do the talking. This will be the third and possibly the final instalment in the ‘HIT’ franchise, which is also produced by Nani under the banner of Wall Poster Cinema.
