has stuck in the tax evasion case and his bank accounts seized. Here is the Press Note regarding this:
Hyderabad GST Commissionerate has attached bank accounts of famous film star Sri G Mahesh Babu today. The brief facts of the case are as follows: Sri Mahesh Babu has not paid service tax during the period 2007 -08 for the taxable services provided by him as brand ambassador/ appearance money/ and Advertising for the promotion of products etc. The total tax due from him was Rs 18. 5 lakhs. Today the GST department has attached bank accounts in Axis bank and ICICI bank for an amount of Rs 73.5 lakhs which includes tax, interest and penalty.
In the professional front, Mahesh Babu has been getting ready for the release of "Maharishi" with Pooja Hegde, directed by Vamsi Paidipally.
