It is to be noted that director Sriwaas made the movie Dictator with Nandamuri Balakirhsna. It was expected that he would direct the movie Sye Raa along with the very same hero. There is analysis as to whether there is any truth in the reports. The noted Parachuri Brothers are the writers of the script for the movie Sye Raa and it was for a long time. The movie happens to take up the story of rebellious fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. When there was news that Balayya is anticipating the chance for a period drama, there are the writers who have emerged with the story.
But it seems that there was opinion by Balayya that there is lack of precision in the script and there needs to be more work on the script. As for now, the noted icon Krish emerged with the story of Satakarni and Balyayya readily accepted the offer. Initially the Parachuri brothers went for Chiranjeevi in the movie. But, now they have resorted to the megastar and with a completed script. It seems that he project was acquired by the noted actor without any second hesitation. Taking the entire episode into account, it is to be noted that they went with the script to Balayya. It is noteworthy that Sriwaas was not approached to direct the flick.
