HC Forwards Notices To Telugu Movie Producers

The High court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have sent notices to the producers of the movies. The court acted on a Public Interest Litigation and asked the movie producers to file a counter petition within two weeks. The petitioner made an argument that the Entertainment tax exemption given to the movies by the State Governments should go to the public exchequer and asked the court to view the matter.

The one has forwarded the petition has said that the Tamil Nadu High Court’s verdict regarding the tax exemption to the film as an example. Satakarni producers Rajeev Reddy, Saibabu and producers of Rudhramadevi Gunasekhar and Raagini Guna have been mentioned by the petitioner as respondents. Satakarni has obtained the exemption in both the states. The movie Rudhramadevi was exempted from Entertainment tax by the Telangana state government.
