Tamilnadu is in the second top position in the coronavirus infection. 3, 26, 720 samples had been tested in Tamil Nadu and there are 11,224 positive cases. In the first place, we have Maharashtra with 2, 73, 239 samples tested and the stated has 33,053 positive cases. Today, Maharashtra recorded 2,347 cases and it is a new high in the state. Meanwhile, Tamilnadu has relaxed the lockdown rules in the districts with coronavirus cases are less in number. Except for the red zone, most of the places are close to normalcy. However, the Central Government extends the lockdown till May 31st, 2020.
Today's recoveries in Tamilnadu are 634 and the total recoveries are 4,172. Among the 639 new cases today, Chennai records 482 cases. The lockdown will continue in Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Chengalpet, Tiruvanamalai, Villupuram, Ariyalur, Cuddalore, Ranipet, Tirupathur, Kallakurichi and Perambalur.
