Kismat

,” will be directed by Shanavas K Bavakkutty. Shananvas says that Kismat is a romantic tragedy which is inspired by the story of a 28-year-old scheduled caste girl and a 23-year-old guy, who was a B Tech student. The incident happened at Ponnani in 2011. Shananvas was the Municipal Councillor of Ponnani and he dedicates the film to those lovebirds, who parted their ways, due to the social pressures. The director says, "When I had an official work at the police station I met them, a few years ago. Both of them were seeking police support. I knew the girl already and hence, I probed her why they were at the station. She told me that both of their families were against their love, citing their caste and age. Both of them decided to stay away for a while before they unite again. But she heard that her lover had committed suicide. Now she is working for Kerala State Literacy Mission in Ponnani. Now, I feel guilty for not supporting them, and I wanted to tribute this film to their love life." We hope the film is yet another story of Kanchanamala and Moideen.
