is a lead director in Bollywood. His twins Roohi and Yash were born through surrogacy. The twins have remained in the hospital since their premature birth on February 7th. The twins are to be discharged after two more weeks in the hospital. On Sunday, Johar made a statement in which he thanked the marvels of medical science. But, the doctors said that the clinics in the city had suspended commissioning surrogacy for single individuals.

, who was thanked by Karan Johar told that he was happy for Karan. The family friend of Karan Johar said that the twins were born to a surrogate mother in Andheri Hospital. The children are in the NICU and would be there for a couple of weeks or more. In a statement that he issued, Karan Johar said that he feels hugely blessed to have children through the marvels of the medical science.
