Kalki has been officially cleared by the Censor Board.
According to the recent reports, the Censor Board has no major issues with this sci fi drama. With that, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is now the longest film in the career of Prabhas, with the runtime being close to 181 minutes, i.e. 3 hours and a minute.
Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is a dystopian drama which aims to present the vision of how Kalki avatar would emerge on Prithvi loka [The Earth]. The movie is set in late 29th century [2896 AD], almost 6000 years after the events of Mahabharata.
Prabhas plays the role of Bhairava, who resides in the ruins of Kashi, and is a bounty hunter by profession. The rest of the story revolves around how he crosses paths with Sumathi, and how becomes part of the final Dharmyuddh. Deepika Padukone is playing the role of Sumathi in this movie.
Apart from Prabhas and Deepika, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has a huge ensemble cast of Anna Ben, Brahmanandam, Pasupathy, Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, Shobana, Anna Ben, Keerthy Suresh, etc. While Amitabh Bachchan is playing the role of Ashwatthama, Kamal Haasan is playing the role of Supreme Yasskin, who commands ‘The Complex’.
