The Mirzapur fame actor is extremely excited for the collaboration with Mani Ratnam, and revealed that he agreed to this film because of the epic collaboration with Kamal Haasan Kamal Haasan is the most versatile actor that Indi >> Read More... and Mani Ratnam.

Ali Fazal further revealed that there are some calls that you just cannot afford to refuse, and the offer to join Thug Life was one such opportunity. This is his first major appearance in a Tamil movie, although he has appeared in a few non Hindi projects like Furious 7, Death on The Nile, Victoria and Abdul before.

Thug Life is the reunion of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam after more than three decades. They had  worked last on the project Nayakan 38 years ago, which had released in 1987, and was loosely based on the life of Varadarajan Mudaliar, a former gangster who ruled the Mumbai underworld along with Karim Lala and Haji Mastan before the arrival of gangsters like Dawood Ibrahim.
