Originally named Zulqarnain Qureshi, Quraish Pur was a Pakistani academic, writer, novelist, columnist, and media expert. He was born in 1932. He hosted a TV program titled Kasauti (PTV) with

in the 1970s, which increased his popularity. He started working for PTV in 1973 and had a variety of roles, including show host, until 1992, when he made the decision to retire. The Pakistani public was aware of Quraish Pur and his colleagues' deep understanding of science, literature, geography, and history from their time on the Kasauti TV show. He hosted several TV shows, including Kasauti (1967-1972), Lafz Ki Talaash, Sheeshay Ka Ghar, and Zauq-e-Aagahi. Quraish Pur passed away on 5th August 2013 in Karachi after a protracted illness.
