Born and bred in Islamabad, he is the son of Dr. Khalid Said Butt, a famous director and screenwriter. He is a man with a multifaceted personality and apart from acting, he is also an expert in the direction, journalism and writing.

This handsome hunk has a huge female following in Pakistan and a huge crowd puller. The Pakistani audiences largely appreciated his role, and it earned him a nomination in the best drama category in PTV media awards.

He has also acted in two Pakistani films Zibahkhana and Slackistan. In both these movies, he gave stunning performances. Though, the movie Slackistan is not released in Pakistan as censor board has objected some of its scenes. The movie is made by a London-based director Hammad Khan.

Apart from acting Osman is very active in literary circles and along with other writers he has formed a group called “Desi Writers Lounge”, which promotes the writing of young and upcoming poets of South Asia.
