Rashid Sami is an actor, writer, and director who has dedicated his whole life to the film and television world. Though he is now an owner of at least six tourist resorts and enjoying his life with his grandchildren, there was a time when he was leading the film and television industry. Rashid Sami is the owner of Kohinoor Telefilm & Production, which was formed in 1998. Before that, he was involved in theatre, acting and directing films or stage plays. One of his biggest projects to date is Shaukat Siddiqui's classic Khuda Ki Basti Khuda ki Basti, literally translated to “God’s Abo >> Read More... , after which he started the creation of Kohinoor Studios.
Rashid Sami began acting between 1989 and 1990 and did his first television show, "Tapish" ( Sahira Kazmi Bio coming soon... >> Read More... ). After that, he did another show/TV series, "Nasl" (Ghazanfar Ali). After Rashid Sami started his television and production house (a private house), he produced, wrote and directed the Pakistani television series Fair & Lovely presents "Aik Gana Aik Afsana." He purchased the copyrights of "Khuda Ki Basti", which was already televised in at least 26 languages along with 46 editions. He then remade "Khuda Ki Basti" for Pakistani television and scripted, produced & directed the same TV series. It was the third remake that he did, and the TV series was shown on Geo Entertainment in 2006.
