Nazim Panipati

Nazim Panipat is a well-known and very famous lyricist, film scriptwriter, and poet who predominantly worked in the Pakistani and Indian film industries. He was born in 1920 in Lahore, British India. Nazim is the brother of a famous filmmaker, producer, and director Mohammad Walli popularly known as Walli Sahib. Nazim has written above two hundred songs for Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi movies. He composed music for a film in 1940 named Yamla Jat, the debut movie of Bollywood superstar Pran Krishan Sikand. Nazim Panipat migrated to Pakistan in 1953 and started working as a playback singer. His first movie in Pakistan was Guddi Gudda in 1956, directed and produced by Walli Sahib, his brother. The most notable songs by Nazim Prajapati are Aai Hai Diiwaalii Sakhi Aai Re from Seesh Mahal in 1950, Dilli Ki Galiyon Mein from Doli in 1947, Suno Suno Kaise Kah Doon Bajariyaa Ke Beech from Ladli in 1949, Wo Akhiyan Mila Kar Chale Gaye from Roomal in 1949, etc. Nazim Panipati took his last breath on 18 June 1988 in Lahore, Pakistan.
