Her father is Ghulam Mustafa Khar, former Chief Minister of Punjab, Pakistan. Her mother's name is Sherzade Nilofar Haq, also known as Sherry Haq. She is the cousin of the former Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Hina Rabbani Khar. She married designer Ammar Belal in 2009. After marriage, she moved to New York with her husband. Her career in the entertainment industry has been from 1995-2009.

She is known for her work in TV dramas like Mehndi (2003), Chaandani Raatein (2002), Ghulam Gardish (1998), Sila (1999), Nigah (2002), Singhar (2002), Jaye Kahan Yeh Dil (2005), and as a Lux Model.
