Shaz Khan is a well-known Pakistani-American actor and director from English and Urdu Television and film industry. His parents are from Islamabad, Pakistan. He is from a military family. His grandfather and Uncle were an Air Commodore in Pakistan Air Force. Shaz completed graduation in finance from Pennsylvania State University and earned a master's in fine arts from Pace University. For a few years, he has worked in a Fortune 500 company in the banking sector. He got married to Saba Khan in 2012.

During their college days, he worked in various plays and films to gain experience and attended Actor Studio Drama School. He has put a lot of effort into the short films and plays. For the thesis Hello Out There, he went to a ghost town in Texas and spent nights in jail to do research. In the short movie Flatter, he played the character of a young cancer patient with a shaved eyebrow and head and spent a month getting into that physiological state. During this time, he also made short films such as Oscar Wide Importance of Earnest and Say It Ain't So.

Shaz has directed, produced, scripted, acted, and edited the upcoming project, The Martial Artist, a story of martial artist fights in California. For this story, he got training from Brazillian coach Rafael Cordeiro in Mixing Martial Arts. Shaz was nominated for many awards. In 2016, he was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor in the film Moor from the 15th Lux Style Award. Galaxy Lollywood Award 2016 has nominated him for the Best Actor and Best Male Debut in the movie Moor. In 2018, Shaz got the nomination for Most Impactful Character in the drama Yaqeen Ka Safar.
