Bilal Abbas Khan was born on June 4, 1993, into a Pashtun family in Karachi, Sindh. His father, Sohail Abbas, used to work as the Karachi Superintendent of Sindh Provincial Police, and his mother, Farhana Sohail, is a fashion designer. He grew up in Karachi, where he received his primary education, and later went to Lawrence School, a boarding school in Murree, where he became interested in performing arts, which supported his desire to work as an actor.

He then joined the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology in Karachi, where he studied economics and graduated in 2015. Bilal studied acting at the National Academy of Performing Arts and was mesmerized by Viola Spurling's passion for theater and improvisational ideas. He began commercial modeling in 2016 and then began auditioning for TV roles.
