Garikapati Narasimha Rao is an Avadhani in Andhra Pradesh, India. Avadhanam is a literary performance well known since ancient days in India. The Avadhani are widely popular and respected for their abilities to memorize beyond the usual human capabilities. He started performing Avadhanams since the year 1992.
In the year 1996 in Kakinada, India he performed Avadhanam with 116 Pruchchakas for about 21 days. Further, Garikapati has conducted more than 288 avadhanams in various places in India as well Dallas, United States.
He gives lectures on personality development and appears regularly on several Telugu channels. While at Koti Deepotsavam, on November 26, 2018, Garikapati announced that he would retire to achieve inner peace and enlightenment.
