Surabhi Kamalabai (1913-1977) was an Indian actress who worked in both Telugu theatre and film. She was the first Telugu actress to appear in a talkie film, Bhakta Prahlada (1932), directed by H. M. Reddy. She was cast as Leelavathi, Hiranyakasipa's wife. She has appeared in approximately 30 films , including Savitri (1933), Pathala Bhairavi (1951), Malliswari (1951), Illarikam (1959), and Velugu Needalu (1961). She is a member of the prestigious Surabhi drama company, where drama is both a profession and an art form. From the 1920s to the 1950s, Andhra Pradesh had about 50 drama families. They travelled to various locations, stayed for a while, and presented a series of programmes in the surrounding area.
