Sajeesh Rajendran

Sajeesh Rajendran is a director of photography and cinematographer based in Hyderabad, Telangana. He was brought up in Kerala and has studied Bachelor's in Visual Communication at the Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Science. Then, in 2008, he pursued a Master’s in Mass Communication from the Madurai Kamaraj University. He has also learned cinematography at the prestigious Adayar Film and Television Institute, Chennai, and has been working as a cinematographer in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Chennai since 2008.

As a cinematographer, he has shot feature films, web series, music videos, more than 180 television commercials and corporate films for clients such as Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Amazon, Airtel, Indian Oil, Hamstech, GMR, Mahindra, Aurobindo Pharma, GE, Novartis, Bosch, BDL, Park Hyatt, Aswini Hair Oil, Azim Premji Foundation, etc in India and across the globe with award-winning performances. In 2009, he got the recognition for a short film called Nijaat, which was shot and directed by Sajeesh himself. The film was premiered at several film festivals around the world, including the prestigious International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala. The year 2011 was a turning point in his life when he got the opportunity to shoot a travel show called Road to Paradise for an international travel channel which had a significant impact on his career.

Sajeesh’s work has also received international recognition. His launch film which he shot for Mahindra Genio ambulance won the Best Cinematography Award at the Fourth Indian Advertising and Corporate Film Festival in New Delhi, 2015. Similarly, the film which he directed for Cogent Glass which was a subsidiary of Cogent Glass and GATI won the Best Film Award at IACFF in 2014 and 2015. Moreover, he is highly skilled in Video Production, Advertisement, Camera Operation, Film Production, Video Editing, Video Advertising, Storytelling, Writing, Management, Video Lighting, etc.
