Punjabi Singer Satinder Satti

Satinder Satti is an Indian-origin singer, poet, dancer, anchor, actress, and former chairperson of the Punjab Arts Council. On 13th December 1972, she was born in Batala, Punjab. She earned her graduate degree from RR Bawa DAV College, Batala, and then she went to get her master's completed in law from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. She was an active anchor person at her college's youth fests. She continued anchoring and went on to anchor at different shows like Doordarshan, Alpha Punjabi, and PTC Channels. She is an active social worker. She has performed many events to raise money for the needy surviving in Punjab.

She has released two music albums by now, Moh and Peeng. Her album Peeng got released in 2007, and the word ‘Peeng’ means The Swing. Then, In 2009, she came up with another album, Moh, meaning My Love. Jaidev Kumar directed the music album. She also does poetry and even released a collection of poems named Anjammiya Both, which means Unborn Child. She also has a book written about her by the Punjabi poet Surjit Patar. She has acted in several films like Jee Aayan Nu, the film was released in 2002, and starred Harbhajan Mann, Priya Gill, Gurpreet Guggi, Kanwaljit Singh,etc. Baldev Gill wrote the Punjabi drama, and Manmohan Singh directed the film.

Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar produced the Punjabi film. The movie is considered the most successful movie in the Punjabi cinema, and it has some very famous songs. The story's plot revolves around Simar, she was born in Punjab but moved to Canada with her family when she was three, and Inder was born and brought up in Punjab. Their parents happen to be childhood friends, and after realizing that their kids have fallen in love with each other. They decide to get them engaged. But they wanted Inder to go with them and settle in Canada, but Inder didn't want to leave Punjab. And eventually, the engagement got canceled.

But when Inder's family realized his immense love for Simar, they sent him to Canada to get her back. In 2015, she was featured in the movie Myself Pendu. Director Surinder Rihal directed and produced the movie, and Garry Grewal wrote the storyline for the film.
