Sabar Koti was a Punjabi singer born in a small village Kot Karar Khan situated in the Kapurthala district of Punjab on 20 January 1965. Koti’s father Shri Amarnath was a musician and his mother’s name was Chinti Devi. On 1 July 1998 he married Rita Koti; with her Sabar has three children: Danishveer Koti (son), Alexander Koti (son) and Rageshwari Koti (daughter). Music was in his blood as he was born into the family of musicians. His father Shri Amarnath was his first mentor. Later, he learned music from Shri Pooran Shah Koti.
Sabar gave his first stage performance at the age of 9 and in the year 1996, he started professional playback singing and gave his melodious voice to various songs in Punjabi movies. Some of Sabar’s works include Kargai Ai Sauda Sada, Oh Mausam Wangu Badal Gaye, Asin Dhur Andar Tak Leera Hoi Baithe Aan, Aaye Haaye Gulabo, Saun Da Mahina Hove, Peengh Hulare Laindi, etc. Sabar also voiced in some devotional albums like Manglo Murada, Vaishno Maa, Om Sai Ram Om sai ram is a mythological serial, a mega biopic >> Read More... , etc. Sabar is best known for his music track Tennu Ki Dasiye. Sabar Koti passed away on 25 January 2018 due to prolonged illness.
