 Kake Bhaniawala is a Punjabi singer who was born Doaba Bhaini, a village in the state of Punjab on 5th April 1971. Kaka was a nickname given to him by his mother, which later he decided to make his identity with. Bani is the name of the village which he belongs to and therefore he chose ‘Bhaniawala’ to tag himself. His original name is Santokh Singh Rataukh.

On 12 April 2009, merely at the age of 39 Bhaniawala died due to liver failure in Ludhiana. Initially, Kaka started his career of singing in India, where he released his debut music album with ‘Music Pearl Company’ of Ludhiana which brought him a limited success. His debut album with this company was ‘Mashooq Teri Challi ‘. Later he moved to United Kingdom (UK) to fly high, where he gained immense recognition as a Punjabi singer.

He also sang for many UK producers including Bally Rai. His Bhangra single ‘Sahnevaal Chowk’, the title track of his album named ‘Word Is Born’ made him an overnight sensation. This was the very time when his hard work paid him success, further he continued to work with many other producers. There was also a solo album which was in the process of being compiled when his death news came across.

His singles include ‘ Mehndi Mehndi is a 2003 Pakistani television series that >> Read More... ’, ‘Angreji Wala Sher’, and ‘Chota Putt’. The album had been released in 2015 namely ‘Desi Quiz’ and ‘Naina di Lishkari’. He also had many famous hits with well-known artists DJ H and DJ Rags. He had also collaborated with Tiger style and many other hit brands and had given a memorable music of that time.
