Harjinder Kang is an Indian poet and lyricist. He writes his poetry in the Punjabi language. He has spent a considerable time of his life in Kang Jagir, a village in Phillaur tehsil of Jalandhar in Punjab. He moved to the United States of America in 1990. He has written many gazals which are often fondly heard. Some of his works include gazals such as Zindagi Vich Toon Jadon Shamil Na Si, Kadon He Maliyan Noon Khari Gulzar Di Chinta, Aa Ja Arya Beh Ja Do Pal Sun Chankar Wangan Da, Jad Kisse Ais Dor De Qisse Sunae Jan Ge and Sunao Geet Khushiyan De Sajao Mehflaan Yaro.
He has written some other gazals which include Akhiyan Mur Mur Kare Hanju, Jugnu Hi Larr De Neen Roz Hanere Naal, Khoob Tamasha Hoya Rateen, Waqt De Sangram Da Aghaz Haan and Wastan Di Bheerr Vich Khud Noon Phasa Ke Aadmi. He has written the lyrics to many songs as well and his most famous one is the song Appa Dowey Rus Baithe Tan Manau Kaun Ve. Many of his songs have been voiced and recorded by some famous Punjabi singers such as Hans Raj hans, Sabarkoti Gill Hardip among many others.
