Rupam Bharnarhia is an Indian singer, especially popular in Punjabi. She is most renowned for her participation in the Indian Pro Music League, launched by Zee TV. The Punjabi singer was born on January 11, 1999, in Amritsar, a city in Punjab. She did her schooling at DAV International School in Amritsar. She completed her Visharad and Bhushan from the Prachin Kala Kendra in Chandigarh. She has also attended Lyallpur Khalsa College in Jalandhar and BBK DAV College for Women in Amritsar. She is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
She began her journey in music at the young age of three, thereby following her father’s path, who was a tabla player. She made her debut in miniscreen through the TV reality show Voice of Punjab in its ninth season. She later went on to be part of several music competitions and programs, including Indian Pro Music League (2021), Indian Idol Season 13 (2023), Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, and Hunar Punjab Da. She was the winner of The Big Golden Voice of Amritsar in its 3rd edition in 2016, held under the banner of 94.7 BIG FM. She had the opportunity to be under the guidance of the ghazal singer Sukhdev Sagar. She is also a professional ghazal singer and won first place in the zonal and interzonal Youth Festival in the year 2021. She is also well-versed in singing Qawwalis and Kirtans. She released her first single, About You, alongside vocalist Arsh Chahal.
