Tarandeep Singh Dhaliwal, fondly called Vicky, was born on 27 July 1988 in a Jat Sikh family at Rasoli. Tarandeep, popularly known as Vicky Dhaliwal, hails from Punjab and is recognized as an Indian-Punjabi lyricist and former Kabaddi player. Dhaliwal was born into a middle-class family, but his parents were supportive of his passion for music. The music video 'Diamond' by Gurnam Bhullar, which was released in 2016, was the turning point in Vicky's life. He was a national-level Kabaddi player, but unfortunately, he had to discontinue his playing because of some physical injury. Dhaliwal used to write songs even during his phase of life, when he was focused on Kabaddi. He used to listen to and got inspired by the old and classical Punjabi lyricists and poets like Shiv Kumar Batalvi, Bulle Shah, Muhammad Sadiq, Gurdas Mann, Kuldeep Manak, and many more. He completed his schooling in a village called Kamalpur Kaleke and did his higher studies at a nearby college. His popular songs include 'Rakhli Pyar Nal', 'Shiftaan Vs Drivery', 'Sade Pind De', 'Shonk', 'Kandh', 'Pariya', 'Muchan', 'Licence' and he has many more songs to his credit.
