Babu Singh Maan or Maan Maraarhan Wala is a successful Indian songwriter/ lyricist specialising in Punjabi folk songs. He was born in the year 1942 on October 10. He was born in a village called Maraarh in Faridkot district of the British Punjab. His parents are S. Inder Singh and Aas Kaur. He did his schooling at a primary school near his village in a locality called village Jand Sahib. He also developed his skills at a young age when he started publishing his poetry in children's magazines in 6th standard. He graduated from Barjindra College in Faridkot. His songs have been sung by many popular singers, starting with the debut song by Gurpal Singh Pal, followed by Surinder Kaur, Harcharan Grewal, Lata Mangeshkar, Sukhwinder Singh, Mohammad Rafi, Harbhajan Maan, Gurcharan Pohli, Babbu Maan, and many more.
