He is a traditional Punjabi musician as well as an Indian singer. The classical singer of Pakistan, Ustad Tariq Khan, recognized Heer internationally. He has been a team member of Muhammed Abdul Aziz and Gular Ali Sahib. His skills have been showcased in a live performance.
He and his brother Sangtar composed music in 1993 for Manmohan Waris's album ‘Gaairan Naal Penghan Jhotdiye'. It was a huge hit. In Punjabi Virsa 2004, Heer got his vast success. Heer released 'Masti 2’ in 2003, ‘Jindal Ni Jindal in 2009 and two singles, 'Club Wich' and 'Game’ in 2012. The songs by Kamal Heer are Kamli, Kanthey Vala, Nachne Nu Kare Mera Ji, Akh Lar Gaee, Tera Hero, etc.
