Dave Sidhu

Dave Sidhu, a director, casting director cum actor, was born on 2nd November 1986 in Barnala. His parents are Jatinder Singh and Surjeet Kaur. Dave went to the Australian Film Institute (AFI) and completed his Diploma in Filmmaking. Dave Sidhu works in Punjabi and Hindi films. In 2014, he started making music videos and his first being, Give Me Heart. In the same year, he made Mainu Television Lai De Ve. Halaat, Dhoom Valayat, Mirza: Vikram Rathod, and Dollar Vs. Sleep are his music videos in 2015.

In 2016, he released a couple of music videos, Teri Yaddan and Kharchey: The Bigger Expenses. Dave made his debut as the casting director in a short film titled Pand: The Responsibility in 2017. In 2018, he cast actors for the short film, Tabbar. Pareshaan Parinda is his first Hindi feature film project as the casting director in 2018. Valayat, his music video was released in 2018. In 2019, he released another music video, Gaddi Naal Viah. His second project as the casting director is Kuriyan Jawan Baapu Preshaan in 2020. In the same year, he directed a short film, The Oneness. After a good reception for his directorial venture, he directed a couple of short films in 2021, Qaida-E-Noor and Kuch Na Kuch. In the same year, he released a music video Aaj Bhangra Pan Ge. He made his debut as a director in the feature film Yaariyan Dildariyaan in 2021. In the same year, he worked as a casting director for the web series, Haterz.

Dave is married to SandeepKaur and has a son, Surmandeep.
