, which is quite famous in Punjabi Film Industry. He use to perform his comic acts around the world and also promoted his non-partisan humour through stand-up comedy, that too in his simple Desi look. He is a pretty famous artist of Punjab.
He has worked in many movies including “Vohtiyan Do Buriyan”, “Chara Jeth”, “Bhajna Amli Ghar Jawai”, “Bhajna Badal Geya”, “Bhajna Amli Ban Gaya Neta”, “Family Bhajne Di. He has also performed in programs like ‘Ik Lapp Surme Di’ and ‘Lishkara’ for Doordarshan (Jalandhar). Gurdev Singh Dhillon is known for conveying social messages to people and raising awareness for social issues in our country through his comic acts.
Gurdev Singh is especially known for Ucha Pind (1994) in which he played the role of Amli, Moh Punjab Da (2007) in which he played the role of Bhajna Amli and Laayi Lagg (2007) in which he got a supportive role. Gurdev Singh suffered a paralytic attack when he was performing at a mela of the village namely Chakk Pakhi, district Lahore (Punjab). But fortunately he was taken to the hospital on time.
