Dev Kharoud whose actual name is Davinder Singh is a Punjabi actor who was born on 12 April 1982 in village Kheda Jattan which is in Patiala, Punjab, India. He is an actor, producer, and screenwriter by profession. His father passed away before his birth. He also has older brother. From childhood, he wanted to be an actor. He also played volleyball and cricket in his childhood. He did his graduation from Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab. In 2016, he did a movie ‘Saka -The martyrs of Nankana Sahib’ in which he played the role of Kehar Singh. He got fame from the movie ‘Rupinder Gandhi- the gangster’ which released in 2015. From this movie, there was transition in his career from comedian to action and serious actor. He also did sequel of this movie ‘ Rupinder Gandhi- The Robin hood. He also did a movie ‘Dakuan Da Munda’ in which he played role of famous gangster turned writer Mintu Gurusaria. Though he did a lot of movies, but he started earning well from the movie ‘Blackia’ which released in the year 2019.

He also appeared in movies ‘Naukar Vahuti Da’, ‘Bailaras’ and’ Dulla Bhatti Wala’ and many more. He has been nominated for ‘Critics Best Actor in Lead role’ for the movie ‘ Rupinder Gandhi 2’ for ‘Filmfare Award Punjabi’. He has also been nominated for ‘Best Actor’ for the movie ‘Dakuan Da Munda’ in the year 2019 and for the movie ‘Blackia’ in the year 2020 for ‘PTC Punjabi Film Awards’. He loves to do content based films, and also he had helped many actors to come in front. He is a fitness freak and loves gymming. He also likes bikes
