Sarat Nayak is famously known in the Ollywood business as an excellent music composer and singer. He has written numerous lyrics for film songs and devotional chants. He specializes in creating music for Odia films and albums. He was born in Pattamundai and graduated with honors from Utkal University in Bhubaneswar. Before his college, he attended MN Highschool Pattamundai between 1983 and 1986. Sarat Nayak is known for his contributions to modern music albums as well as his stardom in Ollywood. He has been with Sriniti Creatives for over 23 years and is currently the Music Director. From January 2008 through June 2011, he worked for SRINITI. He is fluent in the Oriya language and well-versed in its literature which helped in the creation of numerous devotional compositions.

He is well known for writing music for films such as "Chakaa Chakaa Bhaunri," "Bande Utkala Janani," "Shatru Sanghara," "Aa Janhare Lekhiba Naa," and "Bad Girl." He has also received praise for his religious songs (Oriya Bhajans), with hits including "Sabu Mayare Baya" and "He Narayan."

Additionally, he has contributed to many contemporary albums, including "Aau Ketedina," "Chakori Jharana Luha," "Mana Rahena," and "Smruti," among others. His bhajan music contributions include albums such as "Bada Dian," "Sabu Mayare Baaya," "He Narayana," "Bhaba Jamuna," "Jai Shreeram," "Papa Punya," and "Tuma Pade Sarana."
