Pandit Sharad Jambhekar was a famous classical singer in the Marathi and Bollywood music industry, specializing in Indian Pop and Classical music genres. He is widely known for singing Hindu devotional songs in Marathi and Hindi language, which are very popular among the listeners. Sharad Jambhekar was born in Maharashtra and was interested in Hindustani and classical music from childhood. As he was interested in classical music and singing, he learned the Agra Gharana style of music from Pandit D.V. Kanebua. Apart from excelling in classical music, Sharad Jambhekar has sung the Natya Geet and Sugam Sangeet. 

Over the years, he has sung many devotional songs like Utha Utha Sadhusant, Pushpanjali, Ganesh Mahamantra, Uth Ganesha, Nathachya Gharchi Ultich, Dev Eka Payane Langada, Ye Hansavarti Basun Shar, Shendur Lal Chadhayo, Jai Dev, Roop Pahata Lochani, Vakratunda Mahakaya, Ashtvinyaka Tujha Mahima, Chandanasi Parimal, Paay Tujhe Gururaja, Namo Gajanan Namo Ha, Vithalachi Aarti, Gheuniya Pancharati, Shubham Karoti Kalyanam, Krupavant Thor Sadguru Udar, Soham Majhe Naav, Sundhar Te and many more. 

Sharad Jambhekar has also composed several albums like Shri Ganraya (1981), Shree Ganapati (1986), Raya Haluch Hakanna Gaadi (1988), Swami Swaroopanand (1993), Sukh Karta Dukh Harta Morya (1995), Hat Har Marleshwar (1997), Natya sangeet Bhaktigeete (1997), Santanche Sangati Vol-2 (2003), Prabhat Geete (2015), Natya Bhavanjali (2015), and Bhaktanchya Sangati (2015). 

Most of his songs and albums are available to stream on popular music platforms like Apple, JioSaavn, Wynk Music, Gaana, Apple Music, and YouTube Music under the devotional category. Sharad Jambhekar has also collaborated with many classical singers, including Jaywant Kulkarni, for the devotional album-Dhwaj Vijayacha Unch Dhara in 1987. Apart from singing devotional songs, he has also acted in some Sangeet Natak theater plays. Sadly, Sharad Jambhekar passed away on June 25, 2020, at 80 years, in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
