Anindita Paul is a singer of Indian origin. She was born in Guwahati in the state of Assam in the year 1979. She is also a lyricist, composer, and producer. She sings fluently in Bengali, Hindi, and Assamese. She holds a degree in Indian Classical Music. She has trained under Dwipin Roy. She has also learned from Ajoy Chakraborty. She got interested in music because of her mother’s musical background. She started singing at small events and live shows initially and later became a graded artist at AIR – All India Radio. Anindita Paul made her debut in the Assamese music industry with her album Bilot Tire Birai Podumor Pahi Oye in 2000.
The lyrics were written by Kamalananda Bhattacharya and Paul sang three songs for the album. In 2001, she made her debut in the Bollywood music industry with the song Kaisa Dhuan Uth Raha Hai. In 2010, she released her first solo album Tumar Prasangshat which combined various musical genres. Anindita is a prominent female playback singer in the Assamese film industry and has sung for many films.
