Bal Kudtarkar is a renowned radio personality. He was born on 21st August 1921. He worked for the All India Radio, also abbreviated as AIR. Bal Kudtarkar was the most recognized Marathi voice in the whole of Mumbai. Kudtarkar’s most prominent years were from the 1940s and throughout the 1980s. His voice was loved by millions during this era. Bal Kudtarkar’s most famous radio show was called “Prapanch”. Its revised version was also made, which was called “Punha Prapanch”. This show which is called the “Punha Prapanch” was a fifteen-minute radio show that had three prominent characters.
These characters were Pant, Meena, and Tekade. The show talked and revolved around the daily events and toils of daily life, as well as local events in a very humorous way. The three characters were played by the following- Pant by the Late Bal Kudtarkar, Meena by the Late Neelam Prabhu, and Tekade by the Late Prabhakar Joshi. Bal Kudtarker took his last breath on 6th February 2020 at a private hospital. His body was cremated by his family members on the same day.
