Vardan Nayak

Vardan Nayak is an Indian celebrity's makeup artist and hairstylist. He was born on 17 December 1984 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He belongs to a makeup artist's family as his grandfather was a makeup artist and his father Dilip Nayak is a makeup artist as well. From a very young age, Vardan started helping his father with small things like cleaning makeup equipment which his father has used on different celebrities. He was fifteen when he started assisting his father as a makeup artist. He learned the basic skills of make-up from his father. Vardan escorted his father to different destinations with the celebrities for their shoot locations.

He considers Mickey Contractor as his mentor, and he was Mickey's assistant for about ten years. While he was working with Mickey, he travelled around the world for their projects. His first project as an assistant was in Egypt. When Vardan was working as an assistant, they both (Mickey and Vardan) sat in a restaurant with a notepad in their hands and whenever a female entered they both used to write down the basic make-up products she was wearing and then they matched with each other for evaluation. This, according to Vardan, is an excellent approach to learning the intricacies and fundamentals of make-up.
