Anupam Barve is a renowned Indian filmmaker, theatre director, scriptwriter, producer and educator in the Hindi and Marathi entertainment industry from Pune, Maharashtra. He graduated from Savitribai Phule Pune University in Bachelor of Arts in Performing Arts and Dramatics and from University of Westminster in Master of Arts in Directing: Film and TV. He received the ‘Scholarship to outstanding performing Artistes’ from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India for research and practice in Theatre. He holds several work experiences starting as a Drama Teacher at VIBGYOR High International School, then a translator at National Geographic Society Magazine, a documentary maker and translator at Maharashtra Samajik Navanirman Academy, a faculty on M in Directing: Film and TV Course at University of Westminster, a visiting faculty at Digital Academy-The Film School, a visiting faculty at Foundation for Liberal and Management Education (FLAME), Adjunct Professor at Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, film director at Fact and Fiction films, Associate Professor at Film and Television Institute of India, Visiting Professor at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Visiting Lecturer at Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts, and a Director at Rakhadi Studio LLP in Pune Maharashtra.

His works are highly appreciated and recognised at many film festivals like the London Asian Film Festival, LUMS Film Festival in Lahore, New York Indian Film Festival, and others. His film ‘Fresh Suicide’ was nominated for Golden Palm Tree Award at IFFI in Goa and won many awards at Pune Short films festival. He received the Best Director Award at the Smita Patil Film Festival in Pune for the film ‘So What! Transitioning Positively.’

His feature film ‘The Shadow Lines’ was nominated at NFDC’s Screenwriter’s lab and Film Bazaar at the Venice Film Festival in 2012 and theInternational Film Festival of India.
