Narasimha Chintaman Kelkar, also known by another name, Sahityasamrat Tatyasaheb Kelkar, was born on August 24, 1872, in a Chitpavan Brahmin family at Miraj, Maharashtra, India, and died on October 14, 1947, in Pune, India. He was a novelist, short story writer, dramatist, biographer, critic, historian, writer, philosopher, politician, and lawyer. In Thane, Marathi Granth Sangrahalaya, Narasimha has also held the position of president. He served as the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha's president twice, once in Delhi in 1932 and once in Jabalpur in 1928. He was affiliated with Shikshana Prasarak Mandali Pune, a 1904-founded education group in Pune. He has written several novels, short stories, biographies, poems, political writing, and a play.
