Rohit Dhiwar

Rohit Dhiwar is a Mumbai-based director. He is a graduate of the University of Mumbai, where he completed his Bachelor's in Mass Media. He started his career as Assistant Director and Production crew member at Nitin Desai Productions. He went on to work as a Visualiser in Pixel by Pixel. Dhiwar also worked as a part of the creative team in Balaji Telefilms Ltd. and now works as a freelancer in the roles of writer and Assistant Director. He has worked as the first Assistant Director in the movies Dhamak (2014), as an Associate Director in Guru Pournima (2014), Bioscope (2015), Matto Ki Saikil (2020), and in the 2015 television series Yek Number.

He was the second Unit Director in the 2020 series Ashram. His directorial works which he is best known for are Yuvagiri (2016) and Awake (2018), where he also contributed as a writer. Nidraay or Awake was selected for the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival 2018, GMFF - Goa Marathi Film Festival, and RIFFA - Regina International Film Festival and Awards 2018, and got him his nomination for Best Debut Director at Ambarnath Marathi Film Festival.
