Pradeep Mulye

Pradeep Mulye has worked as a Set and Light Designer at Marathi Theatre since 1979. He also worked as an actor, singer, and costume designer for theatre. He did graduation a diploma in Arts from the Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Art in Mumbai. In the following years, from 1979 to 1982, he gets training in Direction, Art Direction, and Cinematography in Film City, Mumbai. In the years 1982 to 1990, Pradeep worked as Freelancer Advertising Photographer. He did photography for many ad agencies, including Lintas, Everest, Mudra, etc. In 1984, Mulye designed light and sound for New India Assurance Limited for the show Discovery of India.

In 1988, he did direction and art direction for the dance drama named Durga Zali Gauri. In 1992, he designed costumes and art direction for a Marathi T. V. Serial Stree Jatak. In 1994, Pradeep did direction and art direction for a Telefilm Shitu in Konkani, based on a Marathi novel written by Go. Ni. Dandekar. In 1995, he designed costumes and did art direction for Hindi U.T.V. named Lifeline. Mulye did design and directed for a children’s dance drama Raja Sinh based on Lion King. In 2003, Pradeep designed and directed a theatrical presentation based on the Marathi novel Indu Klae va Sarala Bhole. In 2009, he made a dramatized version of Srae Prawasi Ghadiche, inspired by a Marathi novel by Jaywant Dalvi Jaywant Dalvi, the Marathi writer, was born on 14 >> Read More... . Satyadeva Dubey, etc. Pradeep Mulye has received numerous awards for films, including Kolishtak, Prakaran Dusre, Wada Chirebandi, Sarvasi Tuzich, Javai Maza Bhala, Hach Khel Udya Punha, Lovebirds, Tu Tar Chphekali, Chandrapurachya Jangalat, Asa mi Asa mi, Daddy I Love You, Abhinetri, Shobhayatra, Chatrapati Shivray, Eka Kaljachi Goshta.

Mulye received many prestigious awards, including Marathi International Film and Theatre Awards, Marathi Achievement and Award, Zee Marathi Television Award, Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad, Chaitra Chahul, Tanveer Sanman, Star Pravah Ratna Puraskar, and many more. In October 2016, Pradeep Mulye received Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Theatre Arts-Scenic Design from President Pranab Mukherjee.
