Suvrat Joshi

Suvrat Joshi is an Indian film and television actor popularly known as Sujay Sathe from the sitcom DilDosti Duniyadari. He has acted in the famous Marathi films Dokyala Shot, Party, and Mann Fakiraa. Suvrat Joshi was born on 22nd April 1985 in Pune. His father, Shekhar Joshi, and his uncle used to take him to watch theatre plays. Ever since, he fell in love with theatre plays and acting. He did his college education at Fergusson College in Pune. Suvrat Joshi has bagged the Nirmal Award for best actor in the annual inter-collegiate Marathi one-act play competition, Purushottam Karandak. And that’s how his journey with theatre began. He decided to learn to act professionally from the National School of Drama, leaving behind his dream of becoming a journalist.

Since then, Suvrat Joshi has been part of several popular theatre dramas, including Dreams of Taleem, Amar Photo Studios, Binkamache Sanwad. Having a successful career in theatre, Suvrat Joshi stepped in to explore the television world in 2015. He got roped in to play the role of Sujay Sathe in the Marathi sitcom DilDosti Duniyadari. The series focuses on the lives of six friends who live as flatmates. The show replicated the emotions of youth and got appreciated for its originality and fresh humor. The show became a hit in no time and attracted large viewers. So, owing to its popularity, Suvrat Joshi, along with the cast, appeared in the show's sequel named Dil Dosti Dobara.
