Jithesh Sundaram, the renowned music composer in the Malayalam industry, was born on 17th November 1971 in Tellicherry, a city in Kannur district of Kerala. Born in the household of one of the leading medical practitioners of the area, Jithesh learnt the importance of hard work and perseverance well in his childhood. He did his schooling from St. Joseph Boys High School, Tellicherry and then joined the S. N. College, Kinnaur. He graduated as a lawyer from S. D. M. Law College in Mangalore. Jithesh began singing at an early age. As a part of their family tradition, he practiced the Raag Ragini Vidya and Sangeeta Upasana.
He mastered the art of inculcating rhythm and melody into his songs while performing on the stage for a larger audience. Along with this, his fascination for percussion instruments encouraged him to master playing the Mridangam and Tabla. In a world that appreciated western over traditional music, Jithendra amazed the public with his classical music. After completing his graduation, he decided to follow his heart’s voice and became a disciple of the bhajan samrat of India Anup Jalota. Under his guidance, Jithesh aced up his skills and soon started accompanying him to his concerts. In 2017, Jithendra released his album, Chahat which consisted of melodious Ghazals in his voice.
